Dr Lee Tau Hong graduated from Asia’s leading medical school, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom and an accredited infectious disease physician.
His clinical interests include serious community and hospital infectious diseases such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, surgical site infections, bone and joint infections; antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship; HIV medicine; tropical infectious diseases and traveller's health. He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan Award to further his training in the management of viral hepatitis C in London’s Mortimer Market Centre, one of the largest NHS-funded sexual health clinic in the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Infectious Diseases Care, he was Senior Consultant in the Department of Infectious Diseases and the Head of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Additionally, he was the Head of Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Office in National Centre for Infectious Diseases. He chairs the National Antimicrobial Resistance Control Committee, Ministry of Health since 2022.
Passionate about medical education, Dr Lee was appointed as a Senior Lecturer at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and a faculty member in the National Healthcare Group Infectious Disease Senior Residency Programme.

He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore since 2016 and has served as the Vice Chair of the Chapter of Infectious Disease Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Honorary Secretary of the Society of Infectious Disease (Singapore).
